Rav David Daniel Hacohen heads the Yeshivat Shaarey Kedousha OuTefila in Jerusalem, devoted to the study of the revealed and hidden Torah — halachah and kabbalah (הנגלה והנסתר).

His path
Born in Algiers, the Rav came to France at the age of ten and went straight into Torah institutions: the Novardok yeshiva, Fublaines, Lucien de Hirsch, then Rav Michael Toledano's yeshiva in the village of Le Pin. From 14 to 16 he studied at the Aix-les-Bains yeshiva, then from 16 to 20 in Gateshead, England.
Married at 20, he lived in Marseille until the age of 24. In 1976 he moved to Eretz Israel with the blessing of the Baba Sali, both for his aliyah and for the study of Kabbalah, which he had always loved. After studying in various places, he opened the Shaarey Kedousha OuTefila kollel.
